Much of what this tattoo represents is a reflection of this day and the events that followed. I will never forget Katrina because much of who I am as man I owe to this experience. Some of my strongest friendship where made during this time as well as my understanding of life because at this time if much strife many went forgotten and all we had was each other. My heart still aches for those that lost their lives and others that lost their livelihood, because many can’t even fathom this type if devastation, and I will forever be grateful and humbled because even though I shared this experience with many others I know I am still much more blessed than those who the NOLA was the only home they knew, but I still road it out with my XULA fam, because a #Xavierite isn’t one that gives up in the face if adversity, but faces it head on!
